has several members that have accomplished leadership roles in the field
of search and rescue. We are privileged to have them on the team!

Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR)
SAR TECH Lead Evaluator: Linda
Dillbeck is the evaluator for southern Indiana. This
position is by appointment from NASAR. Linda passed the SAR Tech II test,
became an evaluator, showing thorough understanding of search and rescue
work and possessing leadership skills. Linda is responsible for setting
the dates and place for a SAR Tech test and administering the test. OVSAR
is honored that NASAR selected our team member, Linda, for this position.
She puts in countless hours setting up and testing candidates from all around
the mid-west.

SAR TECH Evaluator: Having passed
the SAR Tech II test, Lori, Patti, Buffy, Phillip, Joey, Bruce and
Cliff took the four hour classroom training to become NASAR qualified SAR
Tech II evaluators. As evaluators, evaluate and grade the skills of the
candidates at the different stations during the test. Competency in all
five skill stations (knots, navigation, tracking, navigation clue search
and guide clue search) is essential since there is only one evaluator present
at each station.
our evaluators have evaluated numerous
tests, giving two to three days of their time for each test. OVSAR is proud
and privileged to have such qualified, dedicated people on the team. National

SAR TECH I Team member
Cliff Weaver traveled to Rogers, AR. in Dec. 2002 and passed the NASAR
SAR TECH I team leader evaluation, to become the second in the State
of Indiana and the first on the OVSAR team.
