Cliff Weaver- Flight
Medic, OVSAR Search Manager
Formerly a U.S. Air Force and FAA air traffic controller. Over 30 years
experience in Public Safety. Started flying as a Flight Medic in 1982 with
the Evansville Life Flight Program. Currently Chief of Operations for the
Evansville Fire Department and holds the rank of Battalion Chief. Is a
Search Manager with the Ohio Valley Search and Rescue team. Also is an
Evaluator for the National Association of Search and Rescue. Holds several
instructor certifications for EMS and Homeland Security related areas.
Jack Winternheimer-
LifeFlight Pilot, Base Manager
Total of 37 years and 14,700+ hours of aviation experience. Twenty
years in the Marine Corps to include assignments in Vietnam; instructing
Naval and Marine pilots in advanced helicopter tactics in Pensacola, FL
and duty as a Command Pilot for Presidents Carter and Reagan on Marine
One; ten years flying from oil drilling or production platforms in the
Gulf of Mexico; and seven years EMS flying with Welborn Baptist/St. Marys's
Medical Center LifeFlight.
Tom Poulton- M.D. OVSAR
Medical Adviser
Tom Poulton, MD, is a pediatric intensive care specialist and anesthesiologist
who will be the medical director of the Pediatric ICU at the new Deaconess
Gateway Hospital. He has served as medical director for two air
medical
transport programs, and is presently the medical advisor to OVSAR and
pediatric medical advisor to Air Evac system-wide. He has served
as a
member of the editorial board of *The Air Medical Journal* for many
years
and has published over 60 articles and book chapters. A Navy
Medical Corps
veteran, certified technical rescue instructor, ice rescue technician,
and rescue
diver who served as a battalion-level field medicine specialist with
the Marine
Corps, Tom has a special interest in the psychological aspects of survival
in
austere *environments.
Kurt Behme- EFD Firefighter,
Instructor, EMT
Kurt Behme FF/EMT, is the Owner/Lead Instructor of OnSite Health &
Safety Services. "OnSite" is an American Heart Assoc.Certified Training
Center, teaching CPR, OSHA, confined space, HAZWOPER and fire
extinguisher/safety courses. He started his career as a firefighter
and
EMT in 1984. His range of services has included working on Military,
volunteer, and career fire departments, and full and part-time ambulance
services. In relation to the flight programs, Kurt served as
a military
crash-rescue specialist for the Army Aviation Training Brigade at
Ft. Rucker, AL. Kurt is an NFPA Fire Instructor II/III, Indiana
EMS
Extrication Instructor, and member of the Evansville Fire Dept Special
Teams. |
